Short answer: Resort Residential is a project I co-founded to serve one specific kind of buyer, the person looking for a second home or resort property in Ontario's ski and lake country. It focuses on the markets I know best, Blue Mountain, Muskoka Bay, and Horseshoe Valley, and it exists because resort buyers deserve someone who specializes in exactly this, not a generalist who treats it like any other sale.
I don't sell everywhere, and that is on purpose. Somewhere along the way I realized that the work I care about most, and the work I'm actually good at, is helping people buy into a lifestyle rather than just a house. Resort Residential is where I put that idea into practice.
Why I started it
Buying a resort or second-home property is genuinely different from buying a primary residence, and for a long time I watched buyers get handed to agents who treated the two the same. The questions are different. How a rental program actually works, where the real value sits versus where people overpay, what the four seasons do to a property and a community, how ownership works in a resort setting. Those are things an out-of-town agent or an occasional visitor will never flag, and getting them wrong is expensive.
I built Resort Residential so that buyers looking up here have one place that speaks to exactly their situation, instead of piecing it together from generalist advice that was never written for them.
What I'm building
Resort Residential is a specialist resource, not a listings dump. The goal is to be the clearest, most honest guide to resort and second-home ownership in the markets I serve. That means straightforward answers to the questions buyers actually ask, market-by-market context for each community, and content that treats you like someone making a real decision, not a lead to be pushed.
Right now it covers three of Ontario's strongest resort communities. Blue Mountain, where the ski hill and the Village define the lifestyle. Muskoka Bay, one of the most recognized resort settings in the country. And Horseshoe Valley, a four-season community that flies under the radar for a lot of buyers. Each one draws a different buyer for a different reason, and the whole point of Resort Residential is to help you find the one that actually fits.
Why this market, and why me
This is where I live and work. I spend my own time on the Georgian Trail through the summer, out on the water, and up at the hill the second the snow starts. I'm also Head of Sales for Freed Blue Mountain, a new resort residence in the heart of Blue Mountain Village, so I sit close to where this market is heading, not just where it has been.
That combination is the whole idea behind Resort Residential. It is a market I know inside out, built into a resource for people who want to get it right the first time.
